Operational Endowment Fund To Run the National Brewery Museum in Perpetuity

Rockville, Wisconsin — Saturday, March 24, 2007.  Today Len Chylack, National President of the American Breweriana Association announced the formation of an formation of the American Breweriana Association National Museum Operational Endowment Fund.

This endowment fund has been set up to make sure that the future National Brewery Museum to open in 2008, can operate into perpetuity.  Gifts to the fund will be invested over time with earnings used to keep the doors open in perpetuity.

Individual gifts and future earnings from these gifts will be a permanent source of operational capital, helping to perpetuate the rich history of brewing and collecting forever.

When asked about the American Breweriana Association, National President, Len Chylack said:  “Twenty-six years ago the American Breweriana Association was formed to unite breweriana collectors and historians.  When we were created one of our lofty goals was to create a world class national brewery museum.  Twenty-six years later that world class national brewery museum is in sight to open in 2008, at Potosi, Wisconsin.”

Len went on to say:  “We have recently seen examples of museums around the country experiencing funding cuts.  A local example of this would be the Doll Museum located at Fennimore, Wisconsin.  We would like to be proactive and learn from the experiences of others in the business.  Hence the ABA Museum Operational Endowment Fund.”

The American Breweriana Association is a non-profit , tax-exempt IRS 501 ( c ) (3) educational and historical corporation organized to advance the public knowledge of brewing and breweries dedicated to the preservation of the memories and artifacts of America’s historic breweries, and in partnership to restore the brewery at Potosi, Wisconsin, into the National Brewery Museum.
