This is a letter to simply express the wonderful experience my friend Dave Lendy and I had while setting up a Breweriana Exhibit at the ABA National Brewery Museum. I (like most collectors) was blown away the first time I saw the museum while attending the ABA Convention in Dubuque last year. Word can’t express the quality and detail that makes the museum and brewery First Class all the way. Plus the quality of the exhibits. Add the GREAT Beer and Food and it will be a “Beer Mecca” meeting place for me for a long time to come.

When asked if we were interested in setting up an exhibit of Chicago Breweriana we did not hesitate. We spoke and wrote with Tye Schwalbe on several occasions about what needed to be done and to set a date to meet at the museum. Due to the helpful pre-exhibit set up letter we were able to get organized and do things needed before set up such as descriptions, photos, numbers, brewery info, values etc.

On Friday, September 25, we met Tye and his very nice and extremely helpful wife Sandy at the museum. They were very organized and knew just what to do. Sandi handled the computer work and Tye took photos and helped set up the glass display case. The whole operation went very smoothly and before we knew it the set up and paperwork was complete. We were both very happy with the display. Then it was time to enjoy the fantastic food and cold “Good Old Potosi” (all flavors!) beer. Needless to say we did not want to leave! Again we just wanted to thank Tye and Sandi for their help and all the people involved who have made the museum and brewery a reality. Now is the time for all good breweriana collectors to visit and support by any means this wonderful Mecca of Beer!”
